The Twin Tragedy How to Help
50 years after the US intervention in Korea, families are still piecing the evidence together of what happened to the civilians killed by US armed forces. In Afghanistan in 2002, life is difficult, and much precious evidence is being lost. By making sure that eyewitness accounts are recorded as soon as possible, the lives of those civilians killed by US bombing can be properly remembered. Please send in whatever information you have, so we can piece together the account of each bombing raid and faithfully record those who died. We invite the families of the loved ones to send in tributes, photos, and even video footage to create individual online memorials. Alternatively we can link to a family's own memorial site. In the early stages of constructing the site, there are bound to be many mistakes of name, relation, place and date. Please help us by sending the correct information. Finally, we must apologise to families of those who died during this period, but not as a direct result of US bombing. We send our condolences to all those who died, but the focus of this site means that we cannot include them. It may also mean that those included in error will have to be removed, though with the greatest of respect. Email us at: admin@thetwintragedy.org |
